About Me
Believe it or not, it's been a decade since I decided to grab my things and move across the ocean for an entire year. When I asked my parents if I could participate in the Youth Exchange Program I was only fifteen. And, of course, they said no. The reasons were various. However, they should have expected that their stubborn son wouldn't accept a simple "no". So I spent hours researching programs until I'd found the most affordable and reliable solution. Then, I gathered as much information as possible that would support me and my desire to travel and I shared it with my family. They had no reason to say no. I somehow convinced them but during the application process, I was on my own. This is when I really proved that I'd do anything to depart and that I was mature enough to do it. I spent one year in Colorado with an incredible family that is still part of my life to this day. I've been blessed.
And now I sit on my sofa writing this, 10 years later. I am currently in Germany, the 8th country I lived in. I have a Bachelor's degree, I speak three languages and I have a full-time job in digital marketing. Am I satisfied? Definitely no. Do I have a lengthy list of things I want to do and places I want to see next? Yes.
I have been an exchange student in US for 5 months and I loved it. I was funded. i'd love to do something like that again, but I cannot afford to =(
